TESTING PROCEDURE

Practice Standards Review
Your membership application and certification test will be reviewed to confirm education, CME, license status, practice, and experience.

We will confirm your adherence to AACM practice standards by website review, phone contact, testimonials, and – in most cases – a site visit.

Format
The Diplomat Certification Test is both written and oral. The oral exam is approximately one hour long and is administered by AACM Fellows. The written exam consists of multiple choice, fill-in the blank and short essay questions.

Dates and Location
Diplomat Certification Testing is offered twice a year.

The exam will be held annually on the third Friday in August in Seattle, Washington. On even-numbered years, it will also be held the day following the Patients Out of Time Conference (April 15-17).

Fee
There is a one-time, non-refundable testing fee of $200, plus a $100 processing fee. Cancellations made more than 15 days before the test will be refunded the $100 processing fee; there are no refunds for cancellations made less than 15 days prior to the test.
